Next concert:

New Bristol Sinfonia present their opening concert of 2005: We kick off with the haunting melody of Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, one of the most beautiful melodies written for the solo flute with orchestra. We are delighted to welcome Rafal Zambrzycki-Payne, winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1996, who joins us to play the exhilarating Szymanowski Violin Concerto No. 1. Our programme ends with Holst’s Planets Suite which surely needs no introduction! Filled with famous themes, this is probably one of the most popular works in the orchestral repertoire - a vast colourful orchestration and climax to our opening concert of the season.
